SUGARCREEK TOWNSHIP, OH. (THECOUNT)Marcus Miller, 26, of Sugarcreek, Ohio, was killed Sunday in a motorcycle crash at the intersection of State Route 39 and County Road 77 in Sugarcreek Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Authorities said an eastbound vehicle driven by Martha Egan, 84, of Dover, turned left into the motorcycle’s path, resulting in the fatal collision.

According to investigators from the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s New Philadelphia Post, the crash occurred at approximately 10:40 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of State Route 39 and County Road 77.

Troopers said Miller was operating a motorcycle westbound on State Route 39 when an eastbound passenger vehicle driven by Egan attempted to make a left turn onto County Road 77. The motorcycle struck the right side of the turning vehicle.

Miller sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said no other injuries were reported in the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol New Philadelphia Post continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. No additional information regarding possible contributing factors or any potential charges has been released.

Sugarcreek Township is located in Tuscarawas County in east-central Ohio, approximately 80 miles south of Cleveland and about 25 miles south of Canton.

State Route 39 is a major east-west highway through Tuscarawas County, connecting several communities in Ohio’s Amish Country, including Sugarcreek and Dover. The intersection at County Road 77 remained under investigation following the crash.
