FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH. (THECOUNT) — Kenneth Michael McConnell, 29, of Hamilton, Ohio, died Friday after a motorcycle crash on Ohio 4 near Headgates Road in Fairfield Township, according to police. Authorities said McConnell was the sole occupant of the motorcycle.
Fairfield Township is located in Butler County in southwestern Ohio, north of Cincinnati. The fatal crash occurred near Headgates Road.

According to the Fairfield Police Department, officers on patrol discovered McConnell near a crashed motorcycle shortly before 2 a.m. Friday.
A preliminary investigation determined McConnell was operating the motorcycle when it traveled off the roadway and into a grassy area.
Investigators said the motorcycle then returned to the roadway before McConnell lost control. The motorcycle subsequently traveled into the median, where he was ejected.
Emergency responders transported McConnell to the University of Cincinnati West Chester Hospital for treatment.
Authorities said he later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police have not released additional information regarding what factors may have contributed to the collision.
The Fairfield Police Department continues to investigate the fatal motorcycle crash.
