BERKELEY COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT)Bryan Rodger, 60, of Bonneau, South Carolina, was killed Tuesday morning in a single-motorcycle crash on Highway 17A in Bonneau, according to the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office. Authorities said Rodger was the sole occupant of the motorcycle.

Berkeley County is located in the South Carolina Lowcountry, northwest of Charleston. The fatal crash occurred on Highway 17A in the Bonneau area.

Berkeley County Coroner Darnell Hartwell said his office was notified of the collision at approximately 7:11 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the coroner, Rodger was operating the motorcycle when the crash occurred on Highway 17A. Officials have not released additional information regarding the circumstances that led to the collision.

Authorities said Rodger was the sole occupant of the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles or injuries were identified in the initial information released by investigators.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office confirmed Rodger’s identity after notification of his next of kin.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. Authorities have not announced any contributing factors or whether additional information will be released as the investigation continues.
