JOHNSON COUNTY, KS. (THECOUNT) — Isaiah Malik Foster, of Olathe, Kansas, was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 35 in Johnson County, located in northeastern Kansas within the Kansas City metropolitan area.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, troopers responded to the crash at approximately 11:30 a.m. Monday near milepost 220, just south of 119th Street.
Investigators said Foster was operating a southbound Cadillac DTS when it struck the rear of a Toyota Camry traveling ahead of it on Interstate 35.
Following the initial impact, the Cadillac ricocheted off the Camry and struck the outside concrete barrier wall.
Authorities said the vehicle continued along the shoulder, collided with the barrier a second time, then left the roadway.
The Cadillac traveled through a grassy embankment, became airborne over a hill, and rolled before coming to rest on its roof.
Foster sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead.
He was transported to the Johnson County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The driver of the Toyota Camry was not publicly identified. Information regarding that driver’s condition was not immediately released.
Johnson County is located in northeastern Kansas and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. Interstate 35 serves as one of the region’s busiest north-south transportation corridors.
The Kansas Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
