OH Man Aaron Rosemond ID’d As Victim In Tuesday Cincinnati Bond Hill Fatal Shooting

CINCINNATI, OH. (THECOUNT) — Aaron Rosemond, 40, has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting early Tuesday morning in Cincinnati’s Bond Hill neighborhood.

According to Cincinnati police, officers responded to reports of a shooting shortly after midnight on June 9 in the area of Yarmouth Avenue near Bond Hill Park.

When officers arrived, they located Rosemond suffering from gunshot wounds.

Authorities said Rosemond was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators remained in the area for several hours as they processed evidence and documented the crime scene.

Television footage from the scene showed numerous evidence markers positioned along Yarmouth Avenue, just off Reading Road, as investigators conducted their initial examination.

Police completed the first phase of their on-scene investigation at approximately 4:30 a.m.

No arrests had been announced as of Tuesday, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects.

The shooting occurred across from Bond Hill Park in the Bond Hill neighborhood, located in the northeastern section of Cincinnati. The community is situated within Hamilton County and is connected to other Cincinnati neighborhoods through major corridors including Reading Road and Interstate 75.

Bond Hill Park serves as a recreational area for residents and visitors and is surrounded by residential streets and neighborhood businesses. The area where the shooting occurred is located near local roadways that connect the community with other portions of the city.

Cincinnati is the third-largest city in Ohio and serves as the center of a metropolitan region that extends into Kentucky and Indiana. The city is home to a diverse mix of residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, parks, and transportation corridors.

Reading Road is one of Cincinnati’s historic thoroughfares and provides a major north-south route through multiple neighborhoods. The roadway connects downtown Cincinnati with northern communities and is heavily traveled by local motorists.

Authorities indicated that the investigation extended beyond the immediate location where the victim was found. Police activity reportedly covered more than a block as detectives collected evidence and worked to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Investigators have not released information regarding a possible motive, the number of individuals involved, or events leading up to the incident.

Officials also have not disclosed whether witnesses observed the shooting or whether surveillance footage may be part of the investigation.

The Cincinnati Police Department continues to investigate the homicide.
