NY Man Brian Kilduff ID’d As Victim In Monday Lake George Fatal Motorcycle Crash

LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (THECOUNT) — Brian Patrick Kilduff, of Brewster, New York, was killed early Sunday morning in a motorcycle crash along Route 9 near Nordick’s Inn in Warren County, authorities said. He was 31 years old.

Kilduff was pronounced deceased at the scene after suffering severe injuries in the collision. The crash occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. Sunday along Route 9, a major north–south corridor through the Lake George region of Warren County that serves both local traffic and seasonal tourism travel throughout the Adirondack gateway area.

Route 9 in this portion of Warren County runs through a mix of commercial lodging, restaurant zones, and access points to Lake George recreational areas. Overnight traffic conditions can vary significantly depending on seasonal tourism volume, particularly during weekends and warmer months when motorcycle activity increases across the region.

Emergency personnel, including the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Lake George EMS, and the Lake George Fire Department, responded to the crash scene near Nordick’s Inn following reports of a serious motorcycle collision. First responders rendered aid upon arrival, but Kilduff was ultimately pronounced dead at the location due to the severity of his injuries.

Authorities said Michael Kilduff, 33, of Pawling, New York, was riding in the same group of motorcyclists at the time of the crash.

Investigators determined Michael Kilduff was allegedly operating his motorcycle while intoxicated. He was charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and processed at the scene by law enforcement. Officials also reported that he refused to submit to a chemical test.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office said Michael Kilduff was later released and is scheduled to appear in Lake George Town Court at a later date. Under New York State law, refusal to submit to chemical testing can result in administrative penalties, including license suspension, separate from any criminal prosecution related to the DWI charge.

The crash remains under active investigation. Authorities have not yet released final determinations regarding contributing factors such as speed, roadway conditions, traffic interactions, or mechanical issues. Accident reconstruction efforts continue as investigators work to establish a full sequence of events leading up to the collision.

Route 9 is a primary transportation artery through Warren County and the Lake George region, frequently used by both residents and out-of-area visitors traveling between northern New York destinations. The roadway is known for mixed traffic conditions, including commuter vehicles, commercial traffic, and seasonal motorcycle groups.
