LEE COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Aidan T. Doss has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Lee County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Doss was 21.

The deadly crash occurred at approximately 12:14 a.m. Sunday, May 10, along Lee County Road 95 near Gregory Glen Road, roughly two miles north of Auburn.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division responded to the scene following reports of a serious crash involving a pickup truck that had left the roadway.

According to ALEA, Doss was operating a truck when the vehicle exited the roadway and struck a tree.

Authorities said Doss sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators confirmed Doss was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

No additional vehicles were reported involved in the incident.

The crash scene was located along Lee County Road 95 near Gregory Glen Road in a rural portion of Lee County north of Auburn in eastern Alabama.

Emergency personnel remained at the scene overnight while troopers documented evidence and coordinated removal of the damaged vehicle.

Authorities have not publicly released additional details regarding the sequence of events leading up to the crash.
