CA Woman Arianna Rowland Buzenes ID’d As Victim In Stockton Homicide

STOCKTON, CA. (THECOUNT) — Arianna Rowland Buzenes, a 23-year-old woman from Stockton, California, was found dead Friday morning outside a church, and authorities have confirmed her death is being investigated as a homicide.

According to the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office, Buzenes was discovered around 8:45 a.m. along the 400 block of East Lindsay Street. The location is near a church property in Stockton, prompting a response from local law enforcement and emergency personnel.

The Stockton Police Department said last week that “Ari” Buzenes’ death was determined to be a homicide. As of Wednesday morning, officers stated there were no updates available for release, and investigators continue to work the case.

Police have not publicly released details regarding the cause of death, the nature of Buzenes’ injuries, or whether any suspects have been identified. Authorities have also not disclosed whether the incident is believed to be targeted or random. No arrests have been announced.

Buzenes was a Stockton resident at the time of her death but was originally from Milpitas, California, according to publicly available information shared by family and acquaintances on social media. She attended Merrill F. West High School and Joseph Weller Elementary School, where former classmates and community members have since shared tributes in her memory.

The area surrounding East Lindsay Street was briefly impacted as investigators processed the scene. Police have not indicated how long Buzenes may have been deceased before she was found, nor have they released information regarding how she came to be outside the church.

Homicide investigations in Stockton often involve coordination between patrol officers, detectives, and forensic specialists. In this case, authorities have not specified whether additional agencies are assisting or whether surveillance footage from the area is being reviewed.

The Stockton Police Department emphasized that the investigation remains active and ongoing. Officials have urged anyone who may have information related to Buzenes’ death to come forward, noting that even small details could be significant to the case.

No further information was released regarding possible motives, relationships, or events leading up to the discovery of Buzenes’ body. Police have also not commented on whether they believe there is any threat to the public.

Community members in Stockton and Milpitas have expressed shock and sadness following the news of Buzenes’ death. While law enforcement has not confirmed any memorial events, social media posts indicate friends and former classmates are remembering her and calling for justice.

Authorities stated that updates will be provided if and when additional details can be confirmed through the investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Stockton Police Department.
