Fans Flip Out After TikTok Star Debuts Shock Haircut

Mikayla Nogueira Debuts Dramatic Jet-Black Bob and Gets Real With Her Fans

In a new TikTok video posted on Nov. 17, the 27-year-old beauty influencer debuted a dramatic new jet-black bob haircut and had an open conversation with her followers about her headspace as of late.

“I think it’s safe to say I shocked the internet with my new hair,” said the creator. “I literally do not even recognize myself. It’s going to take a lot to get used to this.”

During the video, Nogueira acknowledged that her followers might not “understand why” she changed her hair — previously golden brown locks that extended to her mid back — but said that she did it because she “wanted to remind myself who the f— I am.”

“For the longest time, I was putting so much focus on my hair in my videos, making sure it looks good,” she said. “Now it’s all about my face, b—-.”

The new look, she continued, draws more attention to her eye makeup. “Doing eyeshadow like this is me,” she said as she created a dramatic red smoky eye. “This is the Mikayla that I know personally.”

Later in the video, Nogueira continued to open up about the pressures she feels as a content creator, admitting that “the beauty standards and the pressure have 1000% gotten to me.”

“Just imagine thousands and thousands of people a day telling you what you should and shouldn’t do to your face. It’s not healthy,” she said. “So now I’m going to do what the f— I want to do to my face. And if you feel like beauty standards are constantly being shoved down your throat, I encourage you to do the same.”

This isn’t the first time Nogueira has been candid about the impact of online criticism. In September, she posted a tearful 9-minute video addressing negative comments about her appearance that had been “heavy on my mind for quite a while.”

“I am aware that I’m not an attractive person,” she said at the time. “I’m aware that I’m not aesthetically pleasing to look at or photogenic. It’s really easy to take a bad photo of me. I don’t have the best side profile, which I’ve talked about and I’ve shown.”

Throughout 2025, Nogueira has also been open about personal challenges beyond her own appearance. In April, she shared that her husband Cody Hawken had entered rehab after relapsing twice that year. In September, she pushed back against speculation and criticism about his reduced presence in her content.

“Can you guys just f—— stop?” she said. “I’m not understanding [the] mindset here. Cody’s a grown ass man. I promise you he’s fine without me.”

With the striking jet-black bob, Nogueira appears to be stepping into a bolder, unapologetic era — one that puts her creativity, makeup artistry, and mental well-being front and center, no matter what the comment section says.
