NEW YORK, NY. (THECOUNT) — Carol Acosta, better known by her Instagram handle Killadamente, has passed away at the age of 27 after reportedly experiencing a medical emergency during a family dinner in New York City.

According to reports, Acosta began to choke while having dinner, leading to respiratory issues. The exact cause of her cardiac arrest is still under investigation, with the family awaiting autopsy results.

The incident occurred on January 3, as stated on a GoFundMe page set up by the family to help with funeral expenses. Carol’s sister, Katyan further discussed her sister’s untimely death in a series of Instagram Stories on January 5, speaking through tears in Spanish about the family’s uncertainty regarding the precise cause of Acosta’s death, emphasizing they are still awaiting medical test results.

I love you and I will always love you.” The GoFundMe description highlighted Acosta’s impact, stating she “managed to help thousands of people through her work,” and called for contributions to ensure she receives a dignified farewell.
