Cristobal Espino & Robert Rocha Victims in Monday Dallas Double-Fatal McLaren Supercar Crash

DALLAS, TX. (THECOUNT) — Authorities have identified the two individuals killed in a devastating car crash on Monday that left a McLaren 570S sports car split in half. The Dallas Police Department confirmed the victims as 29-year-old Cristobal Flores Espino and 31-year-old Robert Rocha.

The fatal crash occurred around 3:10 p.m. in the 8500 block of Abrams Road in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas. According to Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR), the McLaren struck a tree with such force that the vehicle was severed into two parts, instantly killing both occupants.

Emergency responders faced challenges accessing the victims due to the severity of the wreck. A heavy rescue response team was dispatched to the scene to recover the deceased individuals from the wreckage.

A third individual, who was in another vehicle involved in the incident, was transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. Authorities have not released further details about their condition or the circumstances leading up to the crash.

The $300,000 high-performance McLaren 570S, a luxury sports car capable of reaching speeds over 200 mph, was reduced to a mangled shell, as shown in aerial footage captured by WFAA. Investigators have not yet disclosed the cause of the accident or whether speed played a role in the collision.

Abrams Road was closed for several hours while police conducted their investigation. The crash has sparked safety concerns among residents in the Lake Highlands area, as authorities continue to gather evidence.

Both Espino and Rocha were pronounced dead at the scene. Further information about their relationship or the events leading up to the tragic incident has not been released.
