MONTGOMERY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Cedric Sanders, a well-known Montgomery, Alabama business owner, has been hospitalized following a shooting.
According to police, officers responded to the 1600 block of South Decatur Street shortly after 6 p.m., where they discovered Sanders with a life-threatening gunshot wound. A family member later confirmed that Sanders, owner of the popular restaurant “Can a Brotha Get a Slice,” is recovering well and is not in critical condition.
The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Gregory Robinson, was arrested at the scene and charged with first-degree assault. He is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility on a $20,000 bond.
As the investigation continues, police have not yet released a motive for the shooting.
