ASCENSION PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Claudia Carolin Barraza, of Rayne, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday afternoon fatal three-wheel motorcycle crash in Ascension Parish.
Barraza, 47, was killed in a single-vehicle Can-Am motorcycle crash near McCall Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, Barraza was operating a Can-Am Ryker on LA-1 near LA-943 in McCall, when for unknown reasons, the bike exited the roadway. The bike then entered a ditch before coming into contact with an embankment.
Barraza, who was ejected from the bike during the wreck, was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
