LITCHFIELD COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Jesse David Christiano, of Torrington, Connecticut, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night fatal motorcycle crash in Litchfield County.
Christiano, 27, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash in Torrington Saturday night.
According to reports, Christiano was operating a motorcycle on Winsted Road near South Road in Torrington, when the bike came into head-on contact with a Toyota Corolla, operated by 22-year-old Samuel Melanson from Torrington, around 10:15 p.m. Saturday.
Christiano was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of injuries suffered in the wreck.
Melanson remained on-scene and cooperated with investigators.
Possible witnesses to the crash should contact Torrington police.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
