JACKSON COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Matthew Carl, of Jackson, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in an overnight fatal motorcycle crash in Jackson County.
Matt Carl, 32, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Wellston early Sunday morning.
According to reports, Carl was operating a motorcycle on OH-93 in Wellston, when for unknown reasons, the bike exited the roadway around 1:15 a.m. Sunday. The bike then came into contact with a guardrail.
Carl was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
