LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Sarah Jean Taylor Galloway, of Columbia, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday morning fatal vehicle crash in Lexington County.
Galloway, 41, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a dump truck Tuesday morning in Chapin.
According to reports, Galloway was operating an SUV on the 1600 block of Amicks Ferry Road in Chapin, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a dump truck.
Galloway was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The dump truck driver was not hurt in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
