LYON COUNTY, KS. (THECOUNT) — Yuriy Lendel, of Nixa, Missouri, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle crash in Lyon County, Kansas.
Lendel, 35, was killed in a Monday night vehicle crash involving two commercial trucks near Emporia.

According to reports, Lendel was operating a Peterbilt semi-tractor on Interstate 35/ Kansas Turnpike near Emporia, when the vehicle drifted onto the shoulder and came into contact with a stopped International truck around 10 p.m. Monday.
Lendel was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The 28-year-old driver of the parked semi was treated for minor injuries.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
