WASHINGTON COUNTY, KS. (THECOUNT) — Michelle Marie Allen, of from Sandoval, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a Friday fatal vehicle crash in Washington County.
Allen, 25, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Centralia Friday morning.
According to reports, Allen was operating a vehicle on Route 177 near the Irvington exit, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway around 6:22 a.m. Friday. The vehicle then traveled in the nedian before making contact with a tree and bursting into flames.
The young mother of three children was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma and thermal injuries at the scene.
No one else was injured in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
