PIKE COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Sherry Simmons Adams, of Goshen, Alabama, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Friday night by a teen driver in Pike County.
Adams, 57, died following a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision involving a teenage driver in Troy Friday night.
According to reports, Adams was on-foot in the area of Highway 231 and CR-3304 in Troy, when she was struck by a Chevrolet Equinox operated by a 17-year-old.
Adams was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
No further information was released about the driver or any possible charges pending.
