ALLEGANY COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Donald Rose, of Angelica, New York, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday night fatal vehicle crash in Allegany County.
Rose, 62, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-tractor Wednesday night in Almond.
According to reports, Rose was operating a vehicle on Interstate 86 in Almond, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a big-rig.
Rose was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
