HANCOCK COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Meagan Schwaner, of Mandeville, Mississippi, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday vehicle crash in Hancock County.
Schwaner, 26, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a pickup truck hauling a trailer early Saturday morning.
According to reports, Schwaner was operating a Honda Accord on Interstate 10 in Hancock County, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle came into rear-end contact with a Ford pickup truck pulling a trailer around 2:40 a.m. Saturday.
Schwaner was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
A 23-year-old male from Lake Charles operating the Ford truck was not injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
