MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Eunice Dwumfour, of Sayreville, New Jersey, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday night fatal vehicle shooting in Middlesex County.
Dwumfour, 30, a new member of the Sayreville Borough Council, was found fatally shot inside her vehicle outside her Sayreville home Wednesday night.
According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired on Samuel Circle in Sayreville around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, Dwumfour was found seated in a vehicle while suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds.
Dwumfour was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.
Dwumfour, a Republican, won her seat in November 2021 after defeating her Democratic opponent and was in the midst of serving the first of a three-year term.
No suspect or motive information was provided as of Thursday morning.
