GUILFORD COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Cedric Cantrell Monroe, of Greensboro, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday morning shooting at a Guilford County gentlemen’s club.
Monroe, 36, was fatally shot, and several other individuals were injured, at Southside Johnny’s in Greensboro early Sunday morning.
According to reports, officers responded to a call of shots fired at 6400 West Market Street in Greensboro around 3 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived, several people were found in the club suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Several victims were transported to area hospitals, some with life-threatening gunshot injuries.
Monroe was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
No suspect or motive information was provided in this homicide.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
