TULSA COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Katherine Diane Carpenter, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, has been identified as the victim in an apparent murder-suicide Thursday night in Tulsa County. Kenneth Dean Carpenter has been identified as the deceased suspect.
Diane Carpenter, 66, was killed in a murder-suicide which led to a police standoff in Broken Bow Thursday night.
According to reports, Police performed a welfare check at a residence near South 145th East Avenue and East 131st Street South in Broken Bow Thursday night. When they arrived, Diane Carpenter was found deceased of apparent stab wounds. A man with a knife was also located.
During a subsequent standoff, the man died of a self-inflicted wound.
Police say the two were married and resided at the home together.
The investigation into the deadly incident remains ongoing.
