VANDERBURGH COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Amber Cook has been identified as the employee shot Thursday night inside a Vanderburgh County Walmart store. Ronald Ray Mosley has been identified as the deceased shooter.
Cook, who remains in unknown condition at an area hospital, was shot by 25-year-old Mosley, who was later shot dead by Evansville police Thursday night.
According to reports, police responded to calls of shots fired at the Walmart on South Red Bank Road in Evansville around 10 p.m. Thursday. After they arrived, Mosley led deputies around the store while firing his weapon.
Multiple shots were fired between officer and the shooter before police fatally shot Mosley.
Cook was life-flighted to an area hospital where she remains in unknown condition.
