FAIRFIELD COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Joan Marie Forgas, of Bridgeport, Commenticut, has been identified as the pedestrian in a Wednesday fatal vehicle strike in Fairfield County.
Forgas, 32, was killed in a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision in Shelton early Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Forgas was operating a Jeep Grand Cherokee on Route 8 near Exit 13, when for unknown reasons, she exited the vehicle around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Forgas and her vehicle were then struck by a BMW.
Forgas was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The BMW driver remained on the scene.
No one was cited at the scene.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
