FRESNO COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Cameron Wright has been identified as the suspect arrested in the brutal murder and dismemberment of his girlfriend, 24-year-old Samantha Sharp of Porterville, California.

Wright, 22, was arrested on suspicion of homicide after Sharp was found dead in Fresno on Monday night.

According to reports, police responded to a call of a domestic dispute on the 8300 block of South Hayes Avenue in Fresno around 10 p.m. When they arrived, Wright, who lived at the home, was questioned. At some point, police determined Wright had killed Sharp.

Police later located Sharp‘s dismembered body in a nearby orchard.

Wright was arrested for the alleged homicide.

The case remains under investigation.
