SIOUX COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Emma Nibbelink, of Luverne, Minnesota, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday night fatal vehicle crash in Sioux County, Iowa.
Nibbelink, 18, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Hull, Iowa Tuesday night.
According to reports, Nibbelink was operating a vehicle on Highway 75 near Hull, when the vehicle lost control, crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 6 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then came into contact with a Chevy K2500 pickup truck. Both vehicle then entered culverts.
Nibbelink, a Dordt College student, was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The pickup driver was not injured in the collision.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
