OTTER TAIL COUNTY, MN. (THECOUNT) — Scott Alan Simdorn, of Ottertail, Minnesota, has been identified as the body pulled from an Otter Tail County lake on Saturday night.
Simdorn, 64, died after falling through the ice on Otter Tail Lake in Ottertail on Saturday night.
According to reports, Simdorn was riding with a group on Otter Tail Lake, when two snowmobiles and an ATV broke through the ice and went into the icy water Saturday around 7:30 p.m.
Everyone escaped and was accounted for except Simdorn.
Simdorn was eventually pulled from the water and transferred to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The incident remains under investigation.
Otter Tail Lake is east of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, about 80 miles southeast of Fargo.
