SUFFOLK, VA. (THECOUNT) — Christian Rask Fauchald and Eric Bergevin, both of Edenton, North Carolina, have been identified as the victims in a Saturday Suffolk, Virginia small plane crash.

Fauchald, 54, and 53-year-old Bergevin, were both killed in a small plane crash in Suffolk Saturday afternoon.

According to reports, the men were traveling in an aircraft, when for unknown reasons, the plane went down and burst into flames in the area of 3900 Carolina Road in Suffolk around 12 p.m. Saturday.

Fauchald and Bergevin were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The crash caused a large brush fire which threatened homes.

The fire was marked under control at 3:47 p.m. Saturday.
