VOLUSIA COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Brandon Michael Morales, of Deltona, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night fatal vehicle crash in Volusia County.
Morales, 24, was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Deltona New Year’s Eve.
According to reports, Morales was operating a Kia wagon on Howland Boulevard near Fort Smith Boulevard in Deltona, when the vehicle attempted to perform a left-hand turn and traveled into the path of a second vehicle around 11:25 p.m. Saturday. The Kia then came into contact with a third vehicle before coming to a rest.
Morales was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The driver of the initial collision was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The other involved driver was not injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
