LANCASTER COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Lamont Lance Stewart, of Lancaster, South Carolina, has been identified as the bicyclist in a fatal hit-and-run collision in Lancaster County Sunday morning.

Stewart, 59, was fatally struck by a driver who then left the scene early Sunday morning in Lancaster.

According to reports, Stewart was operating a bicycle in the area of his home at Springdale Road near Summit Avenue, when a vehicle struck the bike and the fled the scene around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

Stewart was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.

Authorities are seeking a 1998 to 2005 model Chevy S-10 or GMC Sonoma.
