LA Billboard Company Owner Michael Grace ID’d As Victim In Friday Shreveport Fatal Bar Shooting

CADDO PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Michael Paul Grace Jr., of Chandler, Texas, has been identified as the victim fatally shot Friday outside a bar in Caddo Parish, Louisiana.

Grace, 61, the owner of Ace Outdoor Advertising, was shot dead by William Colby Sirman, 30, of Keithville, Louisiana, who later died in a motorcycle wreck while fleeing the scene of the Shreveport shooting early Friday morning.

According to reports, a bartender working at Round Bar, at 3044 Youree Drive in Shreveport, found Grace suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head in the parking lot area near the bar around 2 a.m. Friday.

Grace was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

Investigators identified Sirman as the suspected gunman and began a search. It ended around 9:45 a.m. when Sirman’s dead body was found in the drainage ditch behind a business at the corner of Kings Highway and Creswell Avenue.

Police determined that Sirman crashed while racing away from the scene of the shooting.

Shreveport police detectives used video surveillance to identify another man, identified as 50-year-old Jason Brook, who they say had direct knowledge of what happened. Brook was questioned then booked into the Shreveport City Jail for failure to report a felony.

Investigators are still working to determine motive for the deadly incident.
