MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Madalina Cojocari, of Cornelius, North Carolina, has been identified as the child who disappeared from her Mecklenburg County home on November 23.
Cojocari, 11, went missing from her home the day before Thanksgiving. Her parents reported her missing on December 15 to a Bailey Middle School school resource officer, the school the girl attended.
Police said the child was last seen at home on the evening of Nov. 23 and has not been seen since.
It is unknown why the parents did not report the young girl missing sooner.
Madalina weighs approximately 90 pounds and was last seen wearing jeans, pink, purple and white Adidas shoes, and a white t-shirt and jacket.
