NORFOLK COUNTY, MA. (THECOUNT) — Amber Leigh Buckner, of Stoughton, Massachusetts, has been identified as the victim found dead in a Norfolk County home on Tuesday.
Buckner, 40, was found deceased at Stoughton home on Tuesday. Police said they are searching for a suspect in her apparent overnight slaying.
Buckner was found unresponsive at a residence at 743 Park Street in Stoughton on Tuesday morning. The body showed “significant injuries,” prosecutor Michael Morrissey said during a press conference.
According to reports, investigators are still piecing together the circumstances of her death.
Police have not made any arrests or provided any suspect or motive information. They do believe there is no ongoing threat to the public. Stoughton Police Chief Donna McNamara said police believe Buckner’s death was an “isolated incident.”
A cause of death was not provided.
The investigation is ongoing.
