VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. (THECOUNT) — Cameron Mooty, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, has been identified as the suspect arrested in a Sunday fatal shooting in Virginia Beach.
Mooty, 18, is facing multiple charges following a shooting that killed 18-year-old Evan Labella and injured another in Virginia Beach on Sunday night.
According to reports, police responded to Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on reports of two people arriving with apparent gunshot wounds.
Labella was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries. The second unidentified victim sustained a non life-threatening wound to their lower extremities.
Mooty has been charged with 2nd-degree murder, aggravated assault, and two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
