CLINTON COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Ohio teens, Rosalinda Mendoza and Prezzleigh Goldie, have been identified as the victims in a Tuesday night double-fatal vehicle crash in Clinton County.
Mendoza, 18, and 15-year-old Goldie, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash in Chester Township Tuesday night.
According to reports, Mendoza was operating a Scion Hatchback on KY-73 near Williams Road in Wilmington, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway around 6 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then overcorrected and traveled into opposing lanes before coming into contact with a Honda Passport.
Mendoza and her passenger Goldie — were pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The Honda Passport operator, Alayna Carson, 23, and her passenger 17-year-old Natalia Guerrero, were transported to to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
