ESCAMBIA COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Tara Dortch car accident Atmore: Tara Dortch Nelson, of Atmore, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday night fatal vehicle crash in Escambia County.
Nelson, 46, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Atmore Sunday night.
According to reports, Nelson was operating a vehicle on Booneville Road in Atmore, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway around 7:45 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle then came into contact with a tree and rolled over.
Nelson died of blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
