DOUGLAS COUNTY, NE. (THECOUNT) — D.J. Myers, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, has been identified as the victim in an overnight vehicle crash in Douglas County, Nebraska.
Myers, 27, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Omaha early Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Myers was operating a Kia Forte on South 37th Street near Harney Street in Omaha’s Blackstone neighborhood, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway and made contact with a tree and a guy wire around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Forte then continued before striking another tree.
Myers was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
