YORK COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Xavier Skidds, of North Berwick, has been identified as the victim in a Monday morning vehicle crash in York County.
Skidds, 19, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in North Berwick early Monday morning.
According to reports, Skidds was operating a Ford Focus on Beech Ridge Road near Diamond Hill Road in North Berwick, when for unknown reason, the vehicle exited the roadway. The vehicle then came into contact with a grouping of trees. Officials responded to the crash scene around 4:30 a.m. Monday.
Skidds, a former Noble High School Boys Varsity football player, was pronounced dead of injuries suffered in the crash.
Authorities are asking anyone with possible information on the crash to contact them.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
