ST. MARTIN PARISH. LA. (THECOUNT) — Jeffrey A. Holmes and Shirley A. Chiasson, both of Morgan City, Louisiana, have been identified as the victims in a Sunday night double-fatal motorcycle-versus-vehicle crash in St. Martin Parish.
Holmes, 34, and 83-year-old Chiasson, were both killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash near Morgan City Sunday night.
According to reports, Chiasson was operating a Toyota Camry on LA-70 near Oak Harbor Estates, when the vehicle came into contact with a Honda CRF motorcycle operated by Holmes around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Holmes and Chiasson were both pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
A passenger in Chiasson’s vehicle was transported to an area hospital with moderate injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
