MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Bradley Gaupp, of Charlotte, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday night fatal motorcycle crash in Mecklenburg County.
Brad Gaupp, 22, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash Thursday night in Charlotte. William Sapee has been identified as the other involved driver.
According to reports, Gaupp was operating a motorcycle on Ballantyne Commons Parkway near his Tara Glenn Court residence in Charlotte, when the bike came into contact with a vehicle operated by Sapee around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Gaupp, who was originally from Thomasville, Georgia, was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
Sapee was found to not be impaired. At this time, there are no charges for Sapee, but the investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
