ARAPAHOE COUNTY, CO. (THECOUNT) — Geyler Najera, of Aurora, Colorado, has been identified as the suspect arrested Sunday morning in an alleged hit-and-run vehicle collision that killed a pedestrian in Arapahoe County.
Najera, 29, was taken into custody following a fatal hit-and-run of a pedestrian in Aurora early Sunday morning.
According to reports, Najera was operating a Honda Pilot in the area of East Colfax Avenue and Peoria Street in Aurora, when the vehicle came into contact with a male pedestrian around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. The driver then fled the scene.
Police later located Najera. He was booked into the Aurora Jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident.
The identity of the pedestrian was not provided pending notification of next of kin.
