DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Kenneth Albert Mayor, of Clarksville, Tennessee, has been identified as the pedestrian in a Wednesday fatal vehicle collision in Davidson County.
Ken Mayor, 71, was killed after he was struck by a vehicle operated by a young Franklin woman in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville Wednesday night.
According to reports, Mayor was on-foot in the area of Woodmont Boulevard near Golf Club Lane in Nashville, when he was struck by a Toyota RAV4 operated by a 21-year-old woman around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Mayor was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Officials noted that there was no sidewalk on either side of the roadway.
The female driver remained on-scene and fully cooperated with officials.
No one was cited at the scene.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
