CAMDEN COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Russell Ruaba, of Jefferson City, Missouri, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday afternoon fatal jet ski accident in Camden County.
Russ Ruaba, 62, was killed in a jet ski crash while visiting Lake of the Ozarks Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, Ruaba was operating a Kawasaki PWC Jet Ski on the Lake of the Ozarks near the five mile marker of the main channel in Camden County, when the craft struck a wake and went airborne around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Rauba, who was ejected from the jet ski during the crash, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to records, Ruaba was a retired Chevron engineer.
