JAMES CITY COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Jory Johnson, of Chesapeake, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday fatal vehicle crash in James City County.
Johnson, 34, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Williamsburg Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Johnson was operating a Hyundai Tiburon on Humelsine Parkway near the Olde Towne Road Overpass in Williamsburg, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 7:50 a.m. Wednesday. The vehicle came into contact with a Hyundai Accent.
The Hyundai Accent driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Johnson was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
