RANDOLPH COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Sidney Langston, of Trinity, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Monday night fatal vehicle crash in Randolph County.
Langston, 18, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Trinity Monday night.
According to reports, Langston was traveling as a passenger in an Acura TSX operated by an 18-year-old female driver on Finch Farm Road near Saddle Club Drive in Trinity, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 9 p.m. Monday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a Ford Escape SUV operated by a 57-year-old woman.
The Ford driver and a 14-year-old passenger were transported to an area hospital with serious unknown injuries.
The teen Acura driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
Langston died of blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the crash.
Officials say they are investigating the crash and charges are pending.
