RICHMOND COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Brian Heath, of Aiken, Georgia, has been identified as the innocent victim in a two-vehicle crash involving a high-speed chase Friday in Richmond County.
Heath, 28, was killed following a police chase in Augusta Friday evening.
According to reports, Heath was operating a vehicle on Old Savannah Road near Roselle Street in Augusta, when his vehicle collided with a vehicle that was involved in a high-speed police chase.
Heath was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The driver involved in the chase was transported to an area hospital after suffering unknown injuries.
According to Facebook, Heath worked at CVS Pharmacy and was originally from New Ellenton, South Carolina.
Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.
