BOWIE COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Amanda Garton Butler, of Hooks, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday night vehicle crash in Bowie County.
Butler, 42, ws killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-tractor Thursday near Texarkana.
According to reports, Butler was operating a Mercury Grand Marquis on Interstate 30 west of Texarkana, when the vehicle came into rear-end contact with a big-rig around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Butler was pronounced dead of injuries suffered in the crash.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
