WHITE COUNTY, AR. (THECOUNT) — Katelyn Weems, of Griffithville, Arkansas, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday night fatal vehicle crash in White County.
Weems, 19, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Kensett Thursday night.
According to reports, Weems was traveling in a Ford Fusion operated by Skylar D. Berry, 18, of Judsonia, on State Highway 385 near Kensett, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle then made contact with an embankment and rolled over.
Weems, who was ejected from the vehicle during the wreck, was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
Berry and 22-year-old Jose Hernandez of Ward, were transported to area hospitals with unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
